Guardian Launches New Beacon for Equipment and Outdoor Assets
SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 28, 2006 - Guardian Mobile Monitoring Systems, Inc., the leading provider of GPS-based, mobile security solutions for the security alarm monitoring industry, is pleased to announce the launch of the Guardian 1500 beacon for equipment and outdoor assets.
With built-in GSM and GPS antennas, this 100% battery powered, portable beacon has intelligent, motion-activation programming that allows it to last upwards of 45 days on just 4 AA batteries. It communicates on the SMS portion of the GSM wireless network for low monthly fees yet has a number of valuable alerts (zone violation, low battery), and can provide an immediate alert when it first moves.
Its highly-sensitive GPS chipset and weather-resistant housing allow the Guardian 1500 to be deployed in a wide-range of applications, from inside the glove compartment of vehicles on car lots to appliances or exposed equipment left at job sites.
“With the continuing rise in outdoor equipment theft, the Guardian 1500 is perfectly positioned to assist in the detection and recovery of stolen items,” commented Rob Goehring, Vice President of Product Management and Marketing for Guardian. “If it’s mobile, it can go missing, and the 1500 combined with our software and alerting system enable our partners to offer valuable asset protection services to their customer base.”
Using Guardian’s web-based mobile monitoring system, GPS resellers and their dealers can increase recurring monthly revenue by offering subscription-based mobile security services to their commercial and residential customers. Guardian’s platform currently supports the monitoring of vehicles and assets, with new products for goods-in-transit and people coming later this year.
