Guardian Completes Integration of North American PSAP Database for Mobile Monitoring
PSAP Database Provides Real-time Access to Public Safety Answering Points for Dispatching Mobile Emergencies
SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 15, 2005 - Guardian Mobile Monitoring Systems, Inc., the leading provider of GPS-based, mobile security solutions for the security alarm monitoring industry, announces the integration of North American PSAP data into the Guardian System.
With the introduction of the latest version of the Guardian system, central stations are now able to retrieve the primary and secondary PSAP call center phone numbers with the click of a button during an emergency. The system uses the most recent GPS position from the subscriber's tracking beacon to determine the appropriate PSAP data to display.

The growth of GPS mobile monitoring services in North American has extended the umbrella of security services from fixed assets and buildings to mobile items of value - from commercial vehicles to mobile assets and people. Whereas traditional security systems generate an alarm signal from a fixed and known location, GPS-equipped items are by their nature mobile, making it difficult to quickly, accurately and efficiently contact and dispatch the correct authority.
The Guardian PSAP database is now available to all existing Guardian central station partners. The data is updated monthly to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
