Guardian Adds Software Industry Veteran to Board of Directors
Former ALI Technologies CEO Brings Track Record of Venture Success; Company Also Announces Closing of Seed Investment
SANTA MONICA, Calif., January 20, 2003 - Guardian Mobile Monitoring Systems, Inc., the leading provider of GPS-based, mobile security solutions for the security alarm monitoring industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Gregory J. Peet to the company's Board of Directors.
Mr. Peet is the former Chief Executive Officer of ALI Technologies (TSE: ALT), a medical image management solutions provider. After joining ALI in 1993, Mr. Peet led ALI to success in all aspects of its business, including its recent sale to McKesson Corporation (NYSE: MCK) for $330 million - the largest all-cash technology acquisition in British Columbia history. For these accomplishments, Mr. Peet was recognized as the 2002 Pacific Canada Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst and Young. Mr. Peet currently serves as the Vice President and General Manager of the Medical Imaging Group of McKesson Information Solutions.
