Seasoned Entrepreneur Joins Guardian as President
Former CEO of PayMyBills.com To Strategically Accelerate Company Growth
SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 24, 2002 - Guardian Mobile Monitoring Systems, Inc., the leading provider of GPS-based, mobile security solutions for the security alarm monitoring industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John Tedesco, Jr. as President and as a Director of the company. As President, John will lead the company's overall strategy, and oversee sales, marketing and general corporate functions.
Most recently, Mr. Tedesco was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of PayMyBills.com - a consumer eFinance company providing electronic bill presentment and payment services. As CEO, John secured $35 million in funding and managed a 200-person workforce, growing the company from concept stage to revenue generation and market leadership with over 40,000 subscribers before selling the company less than two years later.
Prior to PayMyBills.com, John was General Manager of an Internet-based commercial real estate sales and leasing marketplace he created while at the financial conglomerate GE Capital. His experience also includes working for the strategic consulting firm McKinsey and Company and as an independent management consultant to venture capital portfolio companies.
John received his Bachelor of Science degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Fairfield University and his M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
